COSMONT GIBBON HAMOR DESIGN GROUP Since the inception of Gibbon Hamor & Associates in 1982, and its subsequent merger with Cosmont Pty Ltd, the firm has maintained a multi-disciplinary and professional approach to all its commissions. This covers a diverse range of projects in the commercial, industrial, public sector and housing spheres. The firm has also developed a strong commitment to Museum and Expo-related activities.
The firm has a fresh, innovative and professional attitude to each of its commissions and provides clients with both excellence in design and responsibility in the execution of their project. The practice prides itself on providing a rational, enlightened and innovative approach to all its varied commissions, and clients have the benefit of the high priority placed on the continued involvement of an appointed Director to each project throughout all its stages.
With teams of professionals in each of the firm’s designated disciplines, as well as technical and support staff, Cosmont Gibbon Hamor Design Group is able to service its clients from the project inception through to completion. 早 期 作 為 中 國 建 設 部 的 總 建 築 師﹐ 愛 新 覺 羅 。揚 芸 先 生 主 持 設 計 了 世 界 上 第 二 大 圖 書 館 “国 家 圖 書 館”﹐ 這 項 設 計 推 陳 出 新 地 把 中 國 的 建 築 民 族 形 式 與 現 代 化 的 建 築 技 術 巧 妙 地 結 合 在 一 起﹐ 從 而 成 為 一 項 中 國 傑 出 的 建 築 代 表 作﹐ 並 且 在 一 九 八 八 年 被 評 為 中 國 首 都 十 大 建 築 之 首。 在 他 的 建 築 作 品 中 不 斷 體 現 出 建 築 藝 術 上 的 發 展 和 技 術 上 的 創 新。 例 如 斯 裡 蘭 卡﹐ 科 倫 坡 的 “班 達 拉 耐 克 記 念 國 際 會 堂”﹐ 是 由 三 十 根 柱 子 獨 立 地 把 整 個 建 築 支 乘 起 來 的﹐ 這 在 六 十 年 代 是 一 項 很 新 的 建 築 技 術。 之 後﹐ 愛 新 覺 羅 。 揚 芸 先 生 又 使 這 項 技 術 得 到 了 進 一 步 的 升 華。 在 巴 基 斯 坦 “伊 斯 蘭 堡 體 育 城” 的 設 計 中﹐ 他 僅 用 了 四 根 支 柱 支 撐 起 了 這 個 萬 人 體 育 館 的 整 個 屋 架 結 構﹐ 從 而 創 造 了 空 間 整 體 的 流 通 性。 這 項 成 果 獲 得 了 中 國 國 家 頒 發 的 二 等 獎。 在 此 之 後 他 移 居 香 港 並 與 COSMONT GIBBON HAMOR DESIGN GROUP 聯 合 設 計 了 美 國 康 州 的 “中 國 文 化﹐ 娛 樂 公 園” 規 劃 設 計﹐ 美 國 洛 衫 機﹐ 安 娜 漢 的 “中 國 花 園 酒 店”﹐新 西 蘭 的 奧 克 蘭 旅 館﹐ 斐 濟 鄉 村 式 旅 館 和 雪 梨 市 丹 蒙 旅 館 等。 同 時﹐ 愛 新 覺 羅 。揚 芸 先 生 在 香 港 進 行 了 中 國 琛 圳 體 育 館﹐ 上 海 浦 西 區 (百 蕙 廣 場) 綜 合 大 廈﹐ 商 業﹐ 公 寓 設 計 等。

The cover of 101 MODERN INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTS
Published in Japan in 1987, it discusses Yang Yun Ishinjerro’s contribution to world architecture . Founding architect Yang Yun Ishinjerro was a world renowned architect, who rose to international prominence in the latter half of the twentieth century with his iconic works in Beijing, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Massachusetts. His views and philosophy were published in 101 Modern International Architects, and as senior architect with Cosmont Pty Ltd he imprinted his unique philosophy of design on the continuing members of the Cosmont Gibbon Hamor Design Group. Bede Ishinjerro specialises in architectural design, winning the Chinese National Theatre and Cultural Complex Award. His stadium cluster design was short-listed in the 2003 Olympic Sport Complex Competition in Nantong, China, and was published by the Chinese Architectural Digest in 2004 as one of the most innovative designs of that year.
Harry Hamor is Head of the Corporate Services Department and Managing Director of the firm, with a Master’s degree in Town Planning. His professional expertise includes project management and liaison with government authorities.
Paheer Paheerathan is Head of Engineering Services, and has extensive experience in commercial and industrial buildings.
Galina Chekalin is the chief Landscape Architect who works with the architects in the overall design from incept to completion, and specialises in green technology and resources conservation in her designs.
Maria Nemes is the Chief Interior Design Architect who most recently designed and supervised the interior fit-out of several corporate projects and exhibitions.

Architecture is essentially the art of reconciliation. It involves resolving specific and general demands of its users within a projected image of three-dimensional form. The design of a building is a creative, rather than a calculable process but, unlike other art-forms, it is concerned with a positive search for solutions. There can be no solution without a problem, no problem without constraints,and no constraints without a need. Either a need is automatically met at the outset and there is no problem, or the need is not met because of certain obstacles. Finding out how to overcome these obstacles is the concern of good design.
